Limited Edition Seeds. In my gardening, I’m always on the look out for new and limited edition seeds. The male plants I’ve bred over many years with feminized seeds are actually going through feminization before flowering. They’re having sex and sending pollen forward to their daughter flowers.
The pollen is now having sex with the female plants and produces intense, highly productive flowers. In my greenhouse, it’s all fun and easy. And since I don’t have to use regular seeds, I don’t have to wait for them to flower, which means they’re getting better quicker. But, with the limited edition, I get those first flower shoots pretty fast. And so do the rest of my plants.
Limited Edition Seeds and Feminized Buds. When I got these feminized seeds (my favorite) from Extagen, I really didn’t know what to expect. I knew they were feminized, but I had no idea what “essential fatty acids” were or how intense the fragrance would be. I also knew that I had never seen wild Ogon koi before. But, since I wanted to grow them strictly for their fragrances, I kept my nose open and took a chance.
After only a few weeks, I got a whole bunch of buds I absolutely adored. They reminded me strongly of the koi from Japan, only they were much smaller. I started trying to replicate the fragrance quickly and was very happy when I realized that I could. I was able to maintain the fragrance for a full month before flowering aprox.
The Limited Edition was packaged in beautiful purple bottles with pretty labels. The inside of the bottle has a clear protective dome that I can see through to the stem of each flower. On the outside of the bottle is a thin line of clear plastic mesh to show the purity of the feminized seeds (I have noticed that there is sometimes a line at the bottom of the bottle as well). The outer packaging is white on top and red below. On the bottom of the label is a clear dome with the words “Limited Edition – Shipped Seamless” printed in silver letters. On the outside of the plant it says “Feminized, X Critical Extract”.
Flowering aprox. The Limited Edition feminized seeds (female plants) have gorgeous large blooms. The aroma is deep and rich, with an almost musky undertone. It has hints of sweet orange and spicy mango. My favorite is called Queen Anne’s Lace. The flowers open with a trumpet like sound and fade to a lovely lavender pink with black petals.
Flowering period starts with feminized seeds (Female plants) which are sown in pots filled with loosely packed soil in my garden. The pots are placed in a sunny window for their first year. The pots are transferred to my greenhouse for the second year. I take the plants out of the windowsill, so they have full sun light, and they flower and bloom beautifully during the final 45-55 days of flowering aprox.
Limited Edition Seedlings (Feminized, X Critical Extract) is a new product from Dr. Bruce Houghton who is a world class expert in feminized seed starts. These feminized seeds (X) are collected from the finest flower buds of a single species of Japanese Silver Needle, which grows in Australia. This plant is rare and only found in this area. Limited Edition Flowering Arops (Feminized, X Critical Extract) is an amazing collection of flowers that will fill your home with their incredible fragrance, intense sweet aroma and heavenly aroma. Flower buds of this magnificent plant are harvested and then carefully separated so the resins can be distilled. All plants are fully feminized, the buds are deformed slightly and have slightly different shapes but their overall beauty and fragrance are amazingly beautiful.
