How To Identify Regular Marijuana Seeds
If you are new to marijuana gardening and are wondering if regular marijuana seeds will germinate in your indoor garden, then read this article. We’ll explain the characteristics of different types of marijuana seeds and how you can tell them apart from one another.
First, let’s start with the characteristics of different kinds of marijuana seeds. Regular Marijuana Seeds. Generally, seeds for pot are sold as being 100% organic, but there are some exceptions. The majority of marijuana seeds are actually sterile. However, some people grow these marijuana seeds in their indoor gardens.
Potting mix. This is what potters use to fertilize their plants. It can be obtained through the Internet or from gardening magazines. The potting mix contains fertilizers that are specifically designed to work well with growing marijuana.
Strain. Marijuana seeds do not have names of their own, but they have specific characteristics depending on which variety they are and how they were developed.
Culture. Cultures of marijuana vary, based on when and where the seeds were planted and how they were grown before being sold.
Potency. When it comes to the level of potency, it all depends on the marijuana seed. Some marijuana seeds are more potent than others. The potency of a marijuana seed depends on the amount of nutrients it has, the type of plant it was created from, and the type of growing environment it was grown in.
You can easily tell when a marijuana seed is ready to harvest. Some seeds will sprout, grow and produce buds, while other seeds will stay green and produce leaves. Some seeds may also sprout and grow, but the leaves will dry up before it sprouts any more.
Marijuana seeds, when sold as “seedlings”, are sold at a discounted price. Some growers sell only a limited number of marijuana seeds at a time. Once the growers sell out of that many seeds, the plants are destroyed and they don’t re-grow marijuana plants from these seeds.
Some seedlings will last anywhere from one to three years. The more mature plants that you have, the longer your seedlings will last. These types of plants will keep producing marijuana flowers throughout their lives.
Growers have to know how long each plant should be cared for before harvesting it. If you harvest a marijuana flower too early or too late, you could end up losing a lot of the original growth. and taste that you gained.
Most growers will let the marijuana plants grow until about six months, then cut back to harvest them. For most growers, this is about one or two weeks of flowering time.
Before harvesting a marijuana seed, make sure the soil is moistened with water. to allow the plant enough room to grow without being crowded by too many weeds or too much foliage. A hole should be dug a few inches underground. This hole should have about an inch deep and no more than five inches wide.
Keep in mind, the seedling should not be placed inside the hole. It should be left outside the hole with the top of the soil facing the hole, so that the weed seeds do not spread. If you place a plastic bag over the seedling and cover the bottom of the hole, the weed seeds will not spread into the soil.
Take the weed seeds and break them down. Put the seedling in water, and then remove the seedling when it is completely dry. The seed will not grow. If you do not get rid of the seeds entirely, the plant will continue to produce marijuana flowers, but the growth will be minimal.
